Unwinding Massage

Massage therapy is a traditional form of health care that is thousands of years old. It dates back to ancient eastern medicine.

The means to help people by massaging muscles and forcing blood flow to areas of the body that don’t normally get it, is a great way to prevent bad health.

The treatment of massage is also a great stress reducer.

Over 90% of doctors visits have started because of a stress related illness.

If we could reduce our stress is it possible to reduce our risk of a stress related illness from begining?

Is it possible to prevent stress related illnesses from getting worse and creating more problems?

Could we actually extend our lives?

The answer to all of these questions is yes.

There are different types of massage that are beneficial. Actually all are. They different types may appeal to some more than others.

There is one type of unwinding massage I have always been facinated with. The form is called Rolfing. It involves 12 different sessions that actually manipulate your muscular structure to a more reasonable form. The way we are supposed to be. Our lives and work tend to alter that and puts a lot of strain on our bodies and our muscles.

Extra weight that a lot of people carry around does not help that situation at all.

If our muscles are strained, they can atrophy. The muscles also need oxygen to perform their duties properly and cannot do that if they are not aligned properly and are cutoff due to strain and stress that is put upon them.

Go out and find a massage therapist and get one. Put it in your schedule as a needed part of your life and you will feel better, more relaxed and will help to prolong your life in a healthier way.
