A double chin can be thought of as a muscular inequality in regards to the rest of your face, therefore there exists a few good exercises that can help remove it. Dozens of exercises claim to work at reducing your double chin. Here we will explain the two most effective things you can do, with a third focus on the importance of proper breathing during the practice of these exercises. Think of the satisfaction of improving your facial looks through reducing or removing your unsightly double chin. Hard work? Yes, but it is the right way to get your face into the right condition. Here is how to get started.

Let’s start with sitting erect in a chair with a slight backward tilt to the head. Now squeeze your lips together, and thrust your jaw out while strongly pulling with your fingers on the loose skin at the base of your neck below your Adam’s Apple. Hold this for a count of four, relax for the same count and repeat.

The second exercise to get rid of double chin that is to be discussed here involves, at the very start, an effort to lie on your back in a firm and straight position. It is best to do this on a hard surface, such as a floor, for best results. Now, take that chin of yours and squeeze it tightly against your chest and remain in this position for about three to four seconds. Afterward, tilt your head back and repeat the process for a second time, for a third time, for a fourth time, etc.

If you can commit to doing both of these exercises several dozen times daily – a big commitment to be sure, you will begin to see definitive results over time. These conditioning exercises, like any others, require a clear goal and strong motivation to make a difference in the vitality of your facial muscles. A haphazard approach will not result in losing your homely double chin.

Be diligent in timing your breathing to the cadence of your chin exercises. Like all muscle tone improving regimens, proper breathing is a key to success. Without a good breathing technique which matches the effort you put into your exercises, you will not get satisfactory results. Promise yourself to work assiduously towards your object, and in the fullness of time your double chin will be gone.
